How We Grow Mushrooms

About Fungi Meadows

Image
Fungi Meadows is a family owned and operated mushroom farm that started up in August of 2022.

We grow nine mushroom varieties year-round with 3 seasonal varieties. In the beginning, we repurposed the resources that we had on hand to keep costs low for not only us, but our customers as well. Each year we slowly improve our efficiency and productivity by improving the equipment we use with the support of our customers.

We grow all of our mushrooms start to finish. We grow everything naturally and we DO NOT use any chemicals. We use plain oats to grow our mycelium, then it is transferred to rehydrated wood pellets and soy hulls. All of our oyster varieties as well as our Lion’s Mane, start to finish, takes roughly one month to grow. Some varieties can take up to six months, including our Shiitakes and Chestnuts. You can check out our “Varieties” section to learn more about the mushrooms we grow and when you can find them.

We are based out of Logansport, Indiana and you can find us at several markets throughout the year. Check out our “Find Us” section to see which markets you can find us at, as well as which restaurants use our mushrooms.
